Data series

In an Excel chart, a data series is a collection of data points and represents a column or row of data in a datasheet. By default, Excel uses the same type of data marker to indicate a data series.

NOTE: In an Excel chart, a data marker is an object indicating a single data point or value. For example, data markers can be bars, columns, pies, lines, and symbols.
